At her core, Helene is a woman of conflicts. She has an innate sense of justice, but she also is very non-judgemental. She is curious about everything, and will have a polite conversation with the meanest of monsters just so she can pick their brain. If they have information that would benefit her, she would be even more enthusiastic to do so. Helene has a darkness about her. Even when she was the golden child of her village, Helene sometimes had violent urges, especially if she saw someone committing unjust acts. Otherwise, however, Helene simply wanted to be useful, likely thanks to her mother parading her around the village everyday looking perfect, helping people, healing their wounds with her divine aasimar healing, and then peforming aerial shows by taking flight with her big beautiful wings in the eve. Much of Helene's radiance faded away when her village was raided and slaughtered, leaving her the only survivor. After Helene fell from grace, her dispoition became quite dour indeed. She didn't understand how to connect with people, though even before she fell she had a hard time connecting with other children. Helene has always exuded an unsettling aura thanks to her intense divine heritage. The young Helene threw herself into her training and tutelage, developing a perfectionist personality and a need to be the best. And a need to be unique. This only further ostracized her from her peers, and she was often bullied.
As a grown young woman, Helene has started to find footing in her personality as an adult. She is self-loathing, but has a slight superiority complex. She is kind and polite, but pragmatic and vengeful. She wishes to be a refined woman, and that is reflected in her fashion sense: she always makes sure to look impeccable in her clothing, hair, and makeup. She prefers to follow the rules, and has a deep respect for her elders (especially very experienced elders), but will not follow the rules if she finds them terribly stupid. Helene does have a hidden child in her personalit thanks to not ever getting to be a child, so she has a mischievous playful streak. She has a difficult time opening up and being vulnerable, but when she does sheis quite soft. There is a broken little girl under the rigid perfect veneer. Most important to note, however, is that while she tries to repress them, Helene wears her emotions on her sleeve. She feels more intensely than most mortals -- because she is not simply is a mortal. She is an angel of a very passionate planetar. Helene's anger and sadness she wields like a weapon.
